CALL FOR POETRY SUBMISSIONS
New Anthology Seeks Original Poetry
House of Hits® in conjunction with SNiF® seeks original, previously unpublished poetry from Nigerian writers across the globe for their forthcoming Anthology of
Poems for Nigeria @ 50.
The anthology aims to piece together a mesh of poetic voices to further strengthen poetic discourse on the state of the nation; her past as well as future. We seek to chronicle the ordeals of the ordinary Nigerian and how the harsh realities of life and living nurtures and/or impedes creativity, the creative process, patriotism and nationhood in a postcolonial, third-world state.
Entrants are invited to send up to three poems for consideration. There are no restrictions as to topic, style or theme as long as they are related to the overall focus of the anthology.
Submitted work must be original, unpublished, in English, typed at 1.5 spacing, with generous margins and printed on one side of white A4 paper. Online submissions should be sent as .pdf, .rtf or MS Word (1997-2003) formats. All submissions should include a recent bio (not more than 50 words), preferred email, postal address and telephone number(s) of the entrants.
Entries close on November 30, 2010.
