CALL FOR ESSAY SUBMISSIONS
New Collection Seeks Original Writings

House of Hits® in conjunction with SNiF® seeks original previously unpublished writings from Nigerian writers across the globe for their forthcoming Collection of Essays for Nigeria @ 50.

As Nigeria prepares to celebrate her 50th independence anniversary, we challenge and encourage you to write and debate the past, present as well as future of our beloved nation. We seek in-depth, well-researched essays, analysis, articles, viewpoints, interviews, memoirs, travelogues, and prose narratives that tell the Nigerian story of hope, dreams, aspirations, frustrations, optimism, perseverance, pessimism, successes and failures since the Amalgamation Proclamation of 1919.

Entrants are invited to send up to five pieces for consideration. There are no restrictions as to topic, style or theme as long as they are related to the overall focus of the publication.

Submitted work must be original, unpublished, in english, typed at 1.5 spacing, with generous margins and printed on one side of white A4 paper. Online submissions should be sent as .pdf, .rtf or MS Word (1997-2003) formats. All submissions should include a recent bio (not more than 50 words), preferred email, postal address and telephone number(s) of the entrants.

Entries close on September 12, 2010.

Selected entrants will receive emails acknowledging receipt of their writings as well as regular publication details. Regular updates will be available at: www.hohprojects.blogspot.com
